Pictures

The right picture in the right environment can conjure up a mood or a feeling all by itself.  Think about the scale of your pictures on the wall.  A flexible solution is to buy several smaller pictures rather than one big one, with the intention of hanging them in groups of about three.  That way you can compensate for larger or smaller expanses of wall by simply spacing the pictures out a bit more or a bit less.  Finally, plain and simple walls will happily display larger and more complex images, but if you have a strong pattern or colour in a room then go for simpler, bolder (perhaps more abstract) designs. Try to get some hint of co-ordination between the colour tones on the walls or furniture and those in your chosen pictures.
